Since 2012: Founder of Superhero Spaces, a non-profit organisation that champions and strengthens the global network of creation spaces. Here, I work on a list of the global Top 30 Superhero Spaces.
Since 2014: Co-founder of enkel – a collective of people with various backgrounds and skills who work together to explore new possibilities for Western Australia. We create spaces, where people can experiment with new ways of working, learning, making, eating & drinking: Spaces, which continuously develop, and which are designed for people to accelerate each others’ learning journeys.
2013-14: Emerging Fellow, Association of Professional Futurists, where I blogged monthly. APF is a global community of professional futurists committed to leadership and excellence in the futures field.
2013-14: Founder of Stockholm Futurists. A monthly Meetup for people in Stockholm, Sweden who like to explore different possible futures. The group invites people from various fields to try to make sense of trends, shifts in society and the deeper stories that lie beneath. A project here was the co-design and co-organisation of Stockholm Future Day 2014.
2011-13: Member of The Holos Group, where I worked to develop Creativity PRISM – a generative idea and strategy development tool. I also gave presentations and consulted on the future of work and other topics for this futures-focussed consulting studio.
2012-13: Co-founder and organiser of the Strategic Foresight Meetup, a monthly catch-up and community of practice for futurists and foresight practitioners in Melbourne.
2013: Footscray Maker Lab (FML) is an emerging Hackerspace established to provide a place for transformative and commons oriented creative initiatives from many avenues. A place for pioneering new products, services, processes, artistic visions, and social change. I worked to activate this initiative by facilitated sessions in the space and self-organising online work groups based on sociocracy.
2012: Founder of the Futures and Strategic Foresight Group at Hub Melbourne – a coworking space which drives innovation through collaboration. In 2013 I ran an open foresight process in the Hub community with the aim to “crowd-source” the future of the Hub. At Hub Melbourne I also founded the Game and app developers group which developed games around ideation and collaboration in coworking spaces and biodiversity.
2011-13: Co-founder of 10plus10 Labs, a cross-sector, cross-organisational innovation and learning lab for entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. This project only reached concept stage, but have inspired several of my other ventures.
2008-2011: ‘Intrapreneur’ at the Migration Support Programs at Australian Red Cross, where among other things I facilitated workshops for organisational change and development, and consulted on initiatives to increase collaboration and innovation among staff.
1997-2007: Co-founded Insted – Surf, Ski and Study. The provider of education at exciting places, with headquarters in Chamonix Mont-Blanc in France. This business was sold in 2007.
